After lots of hack sawing and cutting i eventually got the body free of the Chassis!

Minus all the cables and brake lines and Break servo!

Anyone got any tips for removing the rest?

Am I better buying a new Defender wiring loom instead of trying to modify the old one which has loads of useless stuff on it like central locking, electric windows etc

Finaly got the Body off tonight :D Used a Neighbors Tellehandler which was great! there is a video on Youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnOGaOqWUZU&context=C3f21940ADOEgsToPDskKcMWBQtEftfGvc7c4we7UO

Got The Wiring loom out and ready to trim it down

So this is what I was left with.

Getting the Steam Pressure washer on her tomorrow to get all the oil and dirt off

Covered the engine and gear box in a Engine de-greaser tonight so it should clean up pretty well when I steam pressure wash it.

I have to say I was amazed to find that its not all rust in fact some of it looks pretty good :D

Will get some more pictures up tomorrow after Its been cleaned.

Tom - all 110 bodies are the same up to the capping line... baring the 3-door v's 5-door distinction.

A van is a pick-up with a full-length roof replace the with the truck-cab roof & back panel to get the body-line, and the tail-gate to replace the back door (and good back doors are worth money!)
