Hi looking for a bit of help ... Just reaching the end of my 90 rebuilt 200tdi and want to put alloys on. As far as I am aware it is a range rover rear axle for disc brakes so I bought spacers that fits both defender and range rover classic axles and the wheel spacers won't fit and don't fancy chapping them on ? Spacers fit onto front defender axle with no issue's.
Any help or ideas??

The pitch of studs is different, same as disco 1 early range rover classic p38 range rover disco 2, td5 defender the same, wheels wont fit either
do you know the year of range rover the back axle came off.

Unfortunately not met , i assumed that if was and early range rover classic.
So I know the rear axle was off a range rover ... is there a particular way to tell?

If it’s off a classic they should fit, stud pattern is the same between RRC,Disco1 amd defender. P38 and disco 2 are the same as each other. Is it not going over the hub flange or is it the studs that’s stopping it
-
Diesel jock , it's the hub flange that's stopping it , stud pattern all lines up
Thanks

Hi Jim,
The axle was off a 1979/80 Range Rover classic that Phil used to own, him and I fitted it to get rid of the drum brakes on the old axle. The halfshafts are the early style, the bulbous, rounded early version. You need the later defender 90/disco 1 style but I'm not sure if you can swap the hubs and shafts on to the earlier axle casing, the other thing would be it has a 10 spline diff at the moment and you would need a 24 spline diff to suit the later halfshaft. Either that you swap the axle for a later 90 or disco 1 axle.
Cheers,
Stevie.
