I will double check the MSA blue book, about age limits. I will also put you down for a possible navigator. I am not sure if there are any other children going, but will check.

What class would you recommend for a D3 with off road tyres.

This will be a first time entry and bar the tyres and sump guard is standard Chelsea Tractor spec.

Have a navigator sorted and insurance etc will be getting arranged. Have completed one Tyro and done a few off road days/GGR.

From what you have done Alan, you may well manage most of the standard class but just miss out one or two bits that you don't fancy. Some of the orienteering was done at Bathagte and other areas where the Disco would be fine and even some of the RTV stages you would probably manage ok. The GRR class is perhaps a little tame for you, we can discuss tonight

Hi Donald,
Has there been a demand for scrutineering on Fri 4th. Put my name down if it's going ahead otherwise I'll join the queue on Sat 5th.

I would also come over on the Friday for scrutineering if it's available.

Yes - scrutineering will be on from 7-8.30pm on Fri 4 Oct at Dunfermline.

:)We have now about 45 Land Rover  entries and about 15 in the truck class (the new MAN SVs).
If you are planning to enter, then please e mail Pam Norrie ASAP, so we can organise enough road books etc.

Hi Donald - do you know if there are details available for the nav session on the Friday evening yet please? Would be good if we can do scrutineering and the nav session at the same place.

Thanks - Dave

Hi Dave,

The scrutineering and Nav session are both taking place at the garages at Bruce House, Dunfermline. With Stuart navigating you, I would worry about attending the nav session! I might ask him to help deliver it!

Hi Folks,

If you are thinking of a late entry, please get in touch with Pam ASAP. As well as the Standard event, we also have a Green Road Class which does all the Forest Tracks and mild orienteering/driving, but no Trials, all for the discounted price of £30 (+ insurance if req.).

If your motor is tricked up (with diff lockers etc) we also have the Challenge Class which runs at the end of the field once 40 or so standard motors have been round the course.
The picture of car 23 (Alan Crow?) on the BAMA website was taken on a trials section of MM a couple of years ago. Extreme enough? http://www.armymotorsports.co.uk/gallery/4x4-Navigation

Hopefully something for everyone.

Regards
D

Nope - you have a Freelander to laugh at then pull out when it gets stuck then laugh at some more!

I'm banned from taking the D3 off road.... :(
