Hi All,
My son and I joined SLROC this week and have just bought a 1990 LR90 200Tdi, with the view to taking part in the forthcoming RTV near Bathgate on the 5th September.
As we are both complete novices to 4x4 off road, do you have any tips to help us on the day.
I have purchased a return spring and fasteners to fit on the injector pump as well as recovery points.

Do we need anything else?

You do NOT need to fit an extra spring.

You need front and rear recovery points.

Most important, walk course and watch others, if you want, I'm sure someone will sit in with you.

I have an existing tow bar attached to the chassis, is this okay for the rear recovery point?

Just fitted a jate ring to the front chassis, a front axle guard and steering guard.

Do i need a tow rope? if so what rating would you suggest.

It would be good if someone would sit in the first time! any offers?
