Hi

My exhaust Y pipe decided to crack on the motorway tonight. It had been welded up before but they havn't held. Has anyone near Edinburgh got a Mig welder and a grinder I could get a shot of? The parts need to come off the car anyway so I can come to your place if its easier?

Hi mate. GOt an Arc welder at Kinross but don't ant to risk blowing a huge hole in the pipe! I am in Edinburgh at the moment as well so it's only really as far as I can persaude a mate to drive me unfortunately! Thanks for the offer though 

Graeme, I have the front springs only I'm afraid. Thanks for the offer of the welder, tomorrow is now a bit busier than expected otherwise it would have been ideal. Is Wednesday a possibility?

no worries mate, hope you get it fixed soon, i bought a new one a while back for my 110. wasnt that exspensive i think. might save you a lot of hassle.

Wish I could buy a new one! Its a sports system tht I cut off a scrapper, then had to modify the Y pipe to fit my car. Was my first go with a MIG so not overly surprised that it hasn't been a permanent fix

Plan is to make a new Y pipe soon, but until then its a make do with what I have got job.

Hi mate im down in stenhouse you droped a turbo off to me a while back , i have both a mig and arc you can use i start work at 3 so am out the house for 2:30 but if you come down in the morning ( 10ish ) i can get you sorted .

Even tuesday night would be ok if that suited you better?
