Yep, great day out.

Weather was excellent and great views all day. Thanks to Gene for being patient tonight as we were leaving! Hopefully Bob's Defender doesn't need to much done!

Yeah, excellent day today.

Apparently the Commanding Officer didn't know anything about it.
Gave the wife his phone number so when I got back I could call him.
He also sent another group including the red D4 out of the area  :o

Two large army troop carriers arrived and they all came out and started
lying in the grass around the car, the wife was in the back seat chilling
and when she noticed all the soldiers with backpacks and camouflage,
with rifles etc. she then asked if she had to move the car.
They didn't realise she was in it  ;D

They just lay around the car going about their manoeuvres for about
an hour and then disappeared.

So quite a fun day for her too ;D

Hope Bobs Defender is fixed soon and it's not too expensive a job.

The ranges are run for mod by a contractor who gets most of the money from 3rd party income- us. Means that often mil training runs second to "income generation". I spoke to the Capt running the Ex ( Recruit training) and he was happy once he umderstood we were not going to be rallying about...
