William "Bill" Murray

Sadly I have to report that Bill Murray, member, and for those who went to the Lochgilhead Forest drives, Ian Hamilton's right hand man, passed away on 19th Dec after suffering from cancer since the spring. Well known in Triumph car owner circles Bill (he owned a race prepared TR GTV6 and a Triumph 2000 PI ) and his wife Annette were also enthusiastic Land Rover owners and offroad fans with their Rioca Red TDi300 90 Station Wagon. Bill was a keen fan of Orkney and although his mian employment was with BAE in Livingstone he also ran a small publishing company specialising in books about Orkney called Brinnoven.
