Wanted Disco 3 engine and someone to fit it

Probably a long shot, but I need an engine for a 2005 D3, if anyone knows of one apart from on Ebay, then let me know. Would also need someone to fit at a lot cheaper than man dealer rates, any recomendations?

Speak to Pete at Bell auto services, I know he's not exactly local but he's very good and he may be able to help you out on both counts....

You could also try our Chairman over at GEMM - his boss also runs D3's and D4's. GEMM is also a little closer to you than BAS!

Dave I have a freind with a garage who is very reasonable, and is a damm fine engineer. Just watched him sort out a VW Toureg new engine, also a bit of a wizz with other vehicle types.

If you want to PM me then I can give you his contact details. You can ask if he wants to do it, no harm in asking and Greenock maybe a bit closer to NM.

TDv6 engines are available from Britparts IIRC, but you may be able to get a recon one for less. Also have you tried the specialist Land Rover/4x4 breakers like CWS4x4 or equicar who often break fairly new insurance write offs, both have websites
