Wanted, Discovery 1 TDi or RR Classic TDi
« on: May 15, 2015, 10:19:48 PM »
Hi,

I've been looking about for a better tow car for my 1941 Chevy and trailer for some film work down South so would like a Disco 1 TDi or RR Classic TDi for the middle of June. I had hoped my Series 3 would be ready but it's still a long way off  :'(

I'm planning to go and see a few next week but wondered if anyone on the forum is thinking about selling, must be fully road ready and long MOT as I'll have no time to fix anything prior to the trip.

Thanks

This popped up on Gumtree today, 1 owner, 84K miles and I was lucky to be online when it appeared. Straight on the phone then in the car and out with the cash. It's now on my drive after a lovely 70 mile drive home - may need to join the club again :-)

Thanks. Had a good look about under it today on the ramp and I can't see any welding on the chassis or floors and none that's needed. Will give it all a good clean and paint before the winter.

Got a timing belt getting fitted next week (getting my local garage to do that) and then a full service and remove the EGR.

It's such a pleasure to drive :-)
