Discovery 200tdi battery error

Hi everyone,

Friend of mine accidentally connected his battery the wrong way round in his 200tdi Discovery.  :o
It won't start now. Anyone tried this before and what was the damage?
Any help would be appreciated.

theres a fuse in the loom in the engine bay cant remeber where but its basically a weaker bit wire. it looks nothing like a fuse as you would expect to find , have a look at the haynes manual, i think its on the inner wing somewhere.
that may be it or maybe not.

Hi Piper5,

It's sorted. The earth lead on the engine's knackered.
Other than that it seems to be fine. He only touched it on and got a big flash. Realised what he'd done.
Earth lead just decided to give in by co-incidence.  :P
Message I got sounded like he'd killed it.
