Title: P38 Diesel head gasket

Hi,

I've picked up a 95 plate P38 diesel(BMW). The head gasket has gone. Has anyone had a go at doing this. Are there any tricky bits.

 :) :) :)might as well have two sets of problems,take it your going to Billing in the 110

No, not the 110, we're going in my dads P38. It's too short a weekend and too far to take his old bus :P

Went up to ask Jay and he hasn't got the special tools. Says he sent a guy with a BMW diesel to another garage and they charged him between ?1200 and ?1400  :o
Yer Mother says you can have my engine  :'(

Hi

Got the head off today, no problems so far. There are some signs of gas flow into the cooling system.
I'll strip the head next and get it skimmed at work.
