I'd heard rocky mountain ain't so good these days..  Anyone ever heard of GME springs? It's what Paddocks seem to be stocking these days...

Whats wrong with a quality set of new standard springs?

If kept oiled they will be spot on for years n years.
She said at my age I need something else to play with

I'm happy with standard springs, but I can't find anyone who makes them other than britpart...

I fitted new parabolics to my 88 last year.  They're ok but car sits down on RHS slightly due to transfer box weight etc., original leaf springs are handed to avoid this.
I think mine are Britpart, but not certain of that or who actually made them.
There were several spring makers /suppliers represented at the recent Classic car show at the NECC in November, but I don't have a note of them. I think the quality can vary considerably - it's quite a job, so worth making sure everything is as good as it can be. You also need new longer dampers for parabolics. Nigel

Hi Tom,

Try Richard Hall at Glencoyne -

I don't recall who makes them, but they are manufacturered in the UK and very good quality.

I fitted Rocky Mountains para's to the front of my Series 3 and they've been fine, but I then fitted Britpart paras (3 leaf) to the rear and they've sagged massively, to the point the axle hits the bump stops if you hit a pot hole or speed bumps if theres any weight in the back. I think I maybe got a year and half out of them before this started!

Really wish I'd saved a touch more cash and fitted 3 leaf paras made by this lot

I'll be fitting them come the (marginally) warmer weather!!
