New member, saying Hi!!

Hi,
Been a bit of a lurker for a few weeks, I'm new to 4x4 ownership having bought a used Defender 90 in November

Recently changed jobs and now working in a main dealership and caught the bug.
Not got any off road experience other than training courses at Eastnor & Gaydon.

Looking forward to joining in on some events and getting up to my axles in it

Anywhere good in central (Edinburgh) Scotland for a bit of pay n play you can recommend

Cheers

You are very welcome - Hello  :)

Not sure of any Pay & Play in Edinburgh, I am from over in the west.

Lots of events on though that you can take part in through out Central Scotland as a member of the club.   This weekend it is a RTV (Road Tax Vehicle) trial at Glenmavis, which is near Coatbridge and Aidrie on Sunday.

Hope to see you about,

Dean

All right mate.  Nearest off road place to you is Lamancha, https://www.facebook.com/Lamancha4x4.  They're based in Peebles which I'm sure is quite near  Edinburgh.  never been but I've heard plenty of good reviews.

Hi guys, thanks for the info

I was under the impression that Lamancha had stopped operating? Obviously not so will be
needing to make plans to get there for some me time.
There is a place up in Fife near Gateside but at £50 for
a day's pay & play its a bit bloody expensive no?? :o

Would love to attend some of the members events, though with no experience
and working 6 days a week time is my weakness  :(

Cheers

The next TYRO is on Sunday the 8th of March (I don't know the location - keep an eye on this forum nearer the time).

A TYRO is an ideal event with both novice and more experience drivers taking part.  TYRO's are set up so that any Land Rover, even a shiny Freelander, can take part, so your 90 will be ideal.

Lots of people are about at these events, all willing to give help and advice.
