Running lumpy

I have good the 200tdi running, but very lumpy, in fact it wont rev, like it has fuel starvation?
1. Pump timing out?
2. Lift pump not working?
3. Air in the system?


Any thoughts??? :'(  :'(

HI HAVE YOU GOT FUEL FEED PIPE AND RETURN PIPE THE WRONG WAY ON FILTER/PUMP.
