Series 3 repaint
« on: July 30, 2010, 05:40:49 PM »
A collegue of mine has a Series 3 he bought recently that he's done a bit of work too. He'd like to have it resprayed just to really tidy it up.
Personally I think his missus has told him she's not going in "that scrappy looking thing" until he makes it look a bit better.
(I know, I know "it's a bl**dy Series 3 Landrover, whatd'ya expect?"  :o )
Anyway, to cut a long story short, he's looking for somebody, who'll do a decent job but without wanting his limbs for the privilege.
He stays in West Calder so somewhere reasonably close, 20 - 30 miles, would be good.
Any (polite) suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.

Stevenson College auto body shop?
How do you contact them. That could be really handy for him as he works at Dalmeny. (Near Forth Bridge)

Thanks again.

Phone 'Stevenson College'. ;)

Its their Students doing their C&G's coarses.

This option is sometimes available at other Technical Colleges.
If you could get a vehicle done by Kingsway College Dundee in the past the work was first class, as you would expect really.

As George said phone stevenson and then ask for the auto shop. when i was a student there, the cost to students was cost and a bottle of single malt(to the lecturer). so expect to pay costs(materials only) plus a wee bit more.

Dunno when they would get it in with it being the start of the year though.

hmmm thanks for this topic guys. thats always something handy to remember. especialy when im 5 mins away from sce lol. no point paying top money for going offroad when a branch could ruin a good finnish. get a decent paint job done and the students get good practice. sounds like a win win for everybody
