As above. Never worked on my 90, I now know why - it was burnt out. The motor, the switch and some wiring, all are goosed.

Anyone happen to have a 300 Tdi Defender switch and rear motor kicking about ? Folding money available...

have a look at the durite aftermarket wiper motors they do one that fits and is a fraction of the price, a new rear wiper motor is big bucks

What happened to the art of using external rear riew mirrors - Jumbo will like this one as it's the only way you can reverse a bus (unless you have the luxury of a camera

It's amazing how you get accumstomed ot having a rear wiper.  My wife changed from a hatch to a saloon a couple of years ago and it's amzing how irritating it is not being able to have a clear view behind you

Gene,
How about the rear wiper motor from the Disco that Duncan(DRH) is breaking. My 110 one burnt out and Jon(Python) gave me one from a Disco, which now works perfectly. They are basically exactly the same item with just a bit of cobbling required.

I wondered if one from a Disco or Rangie might work.... Thats a good idea. What did it need to work ?

Sorry for the delay, Gene. It was just the mounting bracket, I think.

Thanks Geoff, Yep I've got hold of one from Duncan, off his Disco scrapper as suggested. The basic body, plugs etc are identical. The only difference I can see is that the spindle is different where it goes through the door. I'll have a look tonight and see if I can make it fit.

I've also got some humungeous leather seats from a Volvo. If I can make them fit it will be seriously comfy ! First impression is that they might be a bit wide.

remember tom had some bucket style seats in a 90. only thing was climbing over the darn things to get in the motor lol. the normal seats are safer. you are always advised to take a break every couple of hours. in standard seats my bum/legs/back/mind is numb by 2 hours so i know its break time :D it doesnt leave you any choice unless you want lifted out the thing lol
