Title: D2 strange noise after switch off

When I switch off the ignition of my 03 TD5 D2, there are about three very short burst of noise which sound like a pump, which appears to come from the under the bonnet on the nearside.
Any guidance on what that could be. It is on springs with no air compressor for suspension.

If it's a whirring sound then it is the oil spinner slowing down .......... perfectly normal.
