as a thought, use a renualt 5 filter, aprox same depth as the remote filter setup  ;D ;D

I've got one I took off an old v8 that was in a series - will look it out on Fri if youre interested - from recollection the hoses were quite hard but the housing was ok  I'ts in Stirling
