Hi zander
Maybe interested can i ask a few questions you can maybe answer.
Is it a disco chassis cut and fitted to take the defender bodywork and as such running on disco axles etc?
Says it runs the disco gearbox so are the gear levers the wrong way around or out of position now the defender bodywork will be used?.
How is it registered at the moment you say sorn but whats it classed as on its reg documet you know the make and model name?.
If ya got the time to answer be appriciated.
Cheers

I dont know if 'zander.s' had my post deleted by the ADMIN or Admin did it.

Nothing personal but SLROC forum members need to know that a Discovery Chassised vehicle
'with a chassis which was origanally100" wheelbase',
cant legally be registered with the DVLA as a
1985 B Registration Land Rover Ninety.

If thats not whats for sale then sorry for my error.
& What a real bargain is on offer in the way of parts.

Hello

How come that is not possible
As far as \i know you get points for how much of the original parts you have used. It is the axles, engine, suspension, chassis and sterring box. You can replace some ofthem with out affecting the registration.

Welcome to the forum Fishdoctor.

You are exactly right,
enough points & you can keep the Registration for the old chassis or the 'new' like for like replacement chassis.

zander.s
lead me to think when i enquired about it that its registered as a 1985 Land Rover Ninety tho.
& that it is a used Discovery chassis.

www.richardschassis.co.uk
link at foot of page to the DVLA site & further links about using a Previously used chassis.
Whats required in the way of IVA or just a VIC etc.

Hopefully zander.s can clear up whats for sale.

My reading of the documentation for the points system is that if you alter the chassis from the original a SVA will be required. It wouldnt matter if the rest of the vehicle is original.
This includeds moving the rear crossmember back. I was looking in to it when I was going to build a Dakar.
