Failed for the following reason"steering box has relative movement between selector shaft and the drop arm"

What does this mean,new box,or a part and is it a big job.

Any advice appreciated as i wont get it in for retest asap

Get someone to wigle the steering wheel while you check movement in the steering box arm that goes to the ball joint. Check for play in the ball joint and steering box. (you wll feel it by hand the Steering wheel will move and the arm will but will have a bit of slap from side to side) Ajust the steering dox or replace the ball joint easy! If not pay someone that knows what they are doing to fix it for you or someone to show you so you know for next time ;)

Its for W so if I have to P I shall however am sure someone will help keep me right(James has already stepped into the frame to do a couple of wee things and is investigating steering problem as I type.....na probably changing a nappy) :)

I had a problem with mine on the 90, it was picked in the scrutineering at the Boxing day bash.

The drop arm was moving vertically as opposed to horizontally, all that was needed was to tighten up the big nut on the bottom to move the drop arm up the taper shaft towards the steering box.

Good luck let me know if you want a hand, now got the 110 back. :)
