2.5 TD turbo and manifolds on to a Disco 200tdi??
« on: October 06, 2013, 09:21:57 AM »
Morning all,

As winters fast aproaching and the pile of projects is growing, a question came up last night,

Is it possible to fit the manifilds and turbo from a 2.5 TD engine to a disco 200tdi engine?

I'm guessing that the oil pipes will require modification, I'm more interested in the physical fitment..

ahead of you on this - had same idea - short answer - no

find the defender turbo setup and fit that  8)

other option is the 300tdi manifold

or 'clock' the disco setup ( a quick look on the 'ollr' site will help)

i know - its a good idea - i thought the same  :(

I done this a couple years back when fitting a 200tdi (disco) into a 110 (19j)
So it made sense to do it this way save messing about with a lot of pipe work etc all you need is flat bar couple good drills and a gasket of eBay and some time the hardest think of all to get lol
