hi all
i am looking at putting a larger set of boots on my swb 2a just for off road use, i had a loan of a set of 265 75 16 on lwb rims which were 5 1/2 inch wide, which were a bit floaty on the road. i think you need 7 or 8 inch rims for that size of tyre, wolf wheels are 6 1/2 inch with same offset as lwb rims, does anyone know how wide forward control rims are and do thay have the same offset as wolf and lwb rims. i have looked on tinternet but cant find anything hope someone can help.

You do realise that the 101's use 6 studs, not 5.... and therefore won't fit any other land rover... ?

If you need a wider rim, go for modulars or something similar

Pretty sure he'll be on about s2b forward control rims, which are wider and have a tasty offset (and are 5 stud). Can't remember the figures but if you have a google there's a site which has all the rim widths and offsets of landy rims

i put modulars on mine , they give you a wider offset and therefore more steering lock , i got a new set on eblag for about 160 delivered
