Bit of help needed for Old Peter!
« on: August 02, 2011, 08:36:59 PM »
Our very senior Marshal, Peter Stewart was getting his caravan ready today before heading off to Bathgate for this weekends events and unfortunately discovered that some little cretin had removed the brass name plate from his neighbours gate and launched it through the front window of his caravan. Those of you familiar with Peters caravan will also know that, although it's very well looked after, it is nearly as old as he is, so no chance of popping into a dealer and buying a new piece of perspex! Does anyone have or know of an old caravan anywhere with a rectangular window, 590mm x 1490mm that I might be able to salvage and get him going again.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Unlikely to be cheap but autoglass do caravan window repairs.

I'm stripping a caravan at my parents place just now. Built early 70's I think. Front and rear windows and 3 side ones all whole just now. I probably won't be able to measure up till the end of the week but if any would work you are welcome to them - probably best for you to remove as I wouldn't want the responsibility if it broke! It's sitting just outside South Queensferry.

Drop me a pm if you want any more info.

Martin.
