Defender Instument cluster
« on: August 31, 2010, 06:54:25 AM »
Hi Folks,
Just a quick question..
Is it possible to fit a more modern dash instrument cluster to an older defender...
For instance a td5 setup into a 300tdi.  For starters the speedo on the td5 is digital, (i think). There must be a potentiometer somwhere for that??
And the fuel and temp gauges. do they have different connections on the td5 cluster.

Something to think about, wondering if anyone has ever done this..

TD5 gauges are different.  Different connectors and different operating ranges.

After a brief google I found this - http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/2009/10/installing-defender-td5-gauges-into-a-200tdi300tdi/
