*The Refresher RTV on the 2nd of August will be a "Gentle" RTV just to allow us as organisers & you as entrants to get back in to the swing of an event, bearing in mind the new requirements and Social Distancing, etc. This will not be an RTV Championship event.
All events will follow the most up to date guidance from the Scottish Government & Motorsport UK. Motorsport UK guidance can be found here
https://www.motorsportuk.org/restart/ , and more specifically here
https://www.motorsportuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/getting-motorsport-back-on-track-club-sport-appendix-v18-may-2020.pdf .
This does mean a few changes, and we acknowledge that you may not like some, but we have to follow them, as the only alternative is no events.
If you wish to participate in an event you will have to book and pay online and email your signing on declaration before the event. Bookings will typically open 2 weeks before the event and close on the evening before. Event officials, Set Up Teams & Marshals will also need to email a Signing-on Declaration.
Number of entrants for each event will be limited.
Events are effectively being run behind "closed doors", meaning no Spectators (including other friends & family members), photographers, those walking dogs and general hanger-on'ers. Only competitors, event organisers and signed on marshals will be allowed on each site.
In Motorsport UK Permitted events (TYRO, RTV, CCV & Boxing Day Bash), currently, no vehicle sharing or passengers are allowed, even from the same household. (We are hopeful that this guidance will be updated soon, but for the moment, please plan accordingly).
You will notice that we are not planning to restart our Speed Championships. Although we have been fortunate in the past and not required the assistance of the emergency services for a competitive incident, we felt we could not rely on, and over burden the Ambulance and NHS services if anything did go wrong. Although all forms of Motorsport may be dangerous, for us, speed increases the risk massively, and therefore to reduce that burden, the cost of bringing in Licensed Motorsport Rescue & Recovery would be out with the means of many of our members.
We are really pleased that we are in a position that events can restart, but are acutely aware that many other forms of Motorsport are not in such a fortunate position.
Personally I would like to thank all those who have been working behind the scenes to make this happen. Your committee, our Land Owners, our colleague from other Motorsport Groups & Clubs and to you our members & competitors for your patience. It has been a challenging time for all!
We still need to remember, in all that we do...
Stay Safe - Protect Others - Save Lives
