Hello,
just a hi to everyone, a quick run down for ya...
Now the happy owner of a 97 defender 90 County, ive already changed the indicator switch which thanks to the Hayens manual wasnt so bad to sort, there will probably be some really obvious and silly questions coming from myself as I have plenty to learn when it comes to this new project.

It's a brilliant place to learn and the really silly questions give us all a laugh I know I ask some of the silliest questions and people still answer them a great bunch of guys on the site

Hello, thanks for the welcome,
Well first piece of news to add but i guess you guys will already know this, few days ago the dip on my lights went out...full beam everything else all ok....tested the wiring replaced the melted plugs at the back of the lamps scraped my hands to bits...but hey was good fun..even in the sleet....anyway it was the indicator switch, needed one asap so i could go fishing morning till dark...bought the switch from a land rover dealer..£90 blo..y quid....fitted it and was well chuffed with myself just to find the exact same bit for £20 blo....y quid on defenderbits.co.uk....gutted!!!! but hey lesson learned...next mission is to change the gasket on a rather damp looking oil sump....first time for me...anything I should be careful of?
