Freelander TD4 Fuel Consumption.

Anyone have any idea what a freelander TD4 actually does to the gallon, my wife would like one but commutes 70 miles per day, mostly on a dual carrigeway.

Hi
 Mine does around 35mpg on local runs & up to 40mpg driven sensibly on longer journeys. I find that @ 2000 rpm in 6th gear it is doing 70mph, hope this info helps.

My F2 TD4 auto struggles to keep much above 30mpg generally, worse in town, better on more gentle runs.
My friend has a chipped manual which gets around 40.
Brilliant car though!
