i dont mean to sound mercenary,and i would love to help out,but as im out of work myself due to the snow, and my 2a runs on petrol,not fresh air, i couldnt afford  to run it around for free,cheers-dan

My wife got the e-mail from Falkirk Council too so I rang them this morning offering to help.  I was told that it was only Falkirk Council employees that could help.  ??? They took my details incase they change their mind. Do they want help or not!!  :o

It's an insurance thing - if you are doing work for someone, then they have responsibilities to you... and for your actions.
It is an unfortunate by-product of our blame-culture (where the unscrupulous look for ways to make money from other peoples misfortune) :(

Sadly I am in a similar position, uni exams and a student loan are not able to facililtate this excellent service. Well done to everyone who can help out!

See thank you message from NHS Fife, at top of this thread.  Thanks to Colin Robertson, Christopher Brown, Paul Martin and the others who have been involved.  It's good to see 4x4 drivers being praised for a change.  (For those who were concerned about costs, I understand that a mileage allowance will be paid.)
