Relay Service

By use of this we might improve the selling and buying of kit on the For Sale section and also the Club Shop.

i think its a good idea. people do often add it into general posts but after a while they get lost amongst other posts. it may help having a seperate list which could be viewed easily listing delivery from a-b

Yep, good idea.

When i was in the Triumph Sports Six Club, we also had a section where members could register as 'help members' ( cant remember the correct terminology for it-been a while since i was a member!!)
ie, if another member was on holiday/travelling or whatever in your local area, and they broke down or needed vehicle assistance or spares, or just somewhere to get towed too, to carry out there own repairs,  then you registered with what you can help with.

Came in handy when we broke the diff in the MK1 Vitesse we were rallying in Wales!! Located a diff through a member, fitted it and drove home...all in a day!! Oh to be 18 and silly again!! :o

Tommy,

OK - that's clearer now, thanks.

I have no problems putting up a page on the website listing those who might help, what area they are in and their contact details etc., if that would be of help. Making contact to organise a specific relay would be by 'phone, email, forum or PM.

Suggest you see how the survey works out and we can make it happen if enough people are interested.

Kind regards,

Sandy.

You said it John!!....who in their right mind uses a diesel 109 as a daily drive!!! :o :o. interior monsoon when it rains, muscles like Arnie after getting into a Tesco parking space, fillings fall out every time we go over a rivet, early deafness, abuse from euro tinbox drivers who have no R.E.S.P.E.C.T for class when they see it...now thats verging on silly ::)...but would i change it...Never!! :D

 as for the club....well....i guess that has to be insanity!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

When I was in the SAAB Owners Club the hand book had a section at the back that listed all members and contact details and you were either an A,B.C or D.
A offered tech help and assistance
B Offered tech help only
C offered ????
D Cuppa and chat
I thought it was very good and used it when my wheel bearing went when in the Borders. Some member came out with trailer and took me back to his house and then stripped it down and replaced it, cost to me was the part only.
I think it would be a good idea, Tommy's that is not to replicate the SAAB O C one.
