Wanted: Series 3 dash

Just acquired a new (ha! well, new to me anyway...) S3 109 station wagon with a slightly scruffy dash. If you have a smart - ie no splits or cracks - dash cluttering up your shed, please make yourself known.

Thanks Kathy

Which bits is it you're after specifically?

I got a bulkhead with dash, dials, wheel, all sorts, attached a while ago. Can't quite remember what condition the dash is in but I'll get a couple pictures tonight see how it compares to yours.

Only thing I do remember is that the centre of the bottom section had been butchered to fit a cd player.

Hi Jack,

Many thanks. The dash on mine has cracks on the top, probably from baking in the sun - and without taking it apart I'm not too confident about the integrity of the heater box. The bottom section is fine, however. Looking forward to seeing the pixs. K

Unfotunately there's a small hole in the top of it

Depending on how bad yours is, your best option might be to re-cover it.
It's something I was thinking about doing to the one in my 109, seems to be a fair few places about on the net which do vinyl for classic cars.

I think yours looks marginally better. Whereabouts are you? I'm based in Edinburgh. Come to think of it, I've got to nip over to Helensburgh tomorrow - are you on the route?

I live in Callander but i'm going to be in Edinburgh this afternoon/evening. I can easily take it with me if that helps

I'm assuming it is the right type, I think the earlier series 3's had a different vent configuaration.

Jack,

If your dash is no good to Kathy let me know - looking for the bottom section rather than the dash top.

Cheers,

Gene.

Hi Kathy

Sorry about the lack of response, I've been far too busy with work recently.

Dash is still in Edinburgh and unfortunately the guy who's flat it's at is in Iceland for the next week.

Gene

As I said before, the bottom section of my spare has been slightly butchered to fit a radio (center section where additional dials go).

I'll get a few pictures later today, see if it's any use to you.

Hi Jack,

That's fine - I'm still interested and there's no hurry. Let me know when you're ready. K

A pic would be good. I'm in no hurry. Cheers, G.
