30th nov and 1st dec final rounds
« on: November 18, 2013, 09:57:46 PM »
The final rounds of each of the three different Club Trials disciplines for the 2013 Championship will see us pay visit to the Kilpatrick Hills, where we can look forward to a wide variety of terrain with brilliant views down the Firth of Clyde!! With many thanks to Billy Thompson and his family, we have a fantastic closing event for the end of the season taking place at The Auchentorlie estate near Dumbarton on Saturday and Sunday 30th & 1st December.

On Saturday 30th there will be a TYRO Trial

On Sunday 1st there will be an RTV Trial & CCV Trial

On both days, scrutineering and safety check will take place from 0830 - 0930 and events will start at 1000, please try to get there in plenty of time to let us get the paperwork done!

As usual there are jobs to be filled both for setting up on Friday. Also on each day of the event to help things run smoothly. Remember, anyone who has not helped out at some point in the 2013 season will not be eligible to have their points totalled up for the championship!

Directions:-

From the M8 Motorway exit at junction 30 for the Erskine Bridge onto the M898, head north over the bridge taking the left hand lane for Dumbarton A82. After 2 miles on A82, straight on at the roundabout and then about 1/2 mile on, take a right turn onto the unclassified road opposite the Arnold Clark Garage, there will be orange arrows from here to the site. As the approach to the site is through a residential area and we are all heading here nice and early, please take your time past the houses!!!

this has been an issue for many years (and not just an slroc problem). you can have gates that allow a d3 or a d4 or even a range rover through on the flat . put a few lumps and bumps into the route and wheels catch at one side and roof rails at the other     regards kz

Dougie has been doing a very good job lately at making challenging for all, whilst still wide enough for the newer cars, I couldn't find a tongue in cheek smiley! D3 and 4s are amazingly agile and can sit straighter on a slope, you sometimes feel like you are cheating  :o ::) :P

:) :)  Speak for yourselves !!   unless I actual had canes attached 3 inches from the motor maybe , but knowing me I would probably still manage to hit them ...  a few times  LMFAO    ;D  ;D       Duncan

yes d3 and 4 plus range rover sport and full fat rangies with a decent set of off road tyres can really perform off road (with all the settings that they have)  and you have the same sittuation as the rtv,s  the competitor that turns up with a showroom vehicle as opposed to one tricked out is always at a disadvantage and narrow gates put these vehicles at a disadvantage         regards kz
