SLROC Forum

Under negotiation with the Forestry but it will either be in the Loch Ard area or Achray Forest. Either way it'll start in Aberfoyle. FC are still looking at routes due to work programme and bad weather. Hopefully we'll have some new sections. If the cloud lifts and we have a clear day the scenery will be stunning, bring a camera.

The route will be suitable for "Shiny" vehicles but hopefully with a few extra loops that will be a bit more challenging.   

Plan on being in the big car-park behind the woollen mill at Aberfoyle for 10 am, There is fuel and food in town. We'll be back on the tarmac for about 4pm,

For those new to the game there must be at least one SLROC member in each vehicle and the day will cost £10 entry fee per vehicle.

Right, That's confirmed as Achray Forest.... Miles and Miles of tracks, mostly good scenic driving but with a good number of alternate loops that will be slightly more challenging, particularly after the rain over the winter and recent Forestry work.

Just traced it out on a map - 32Km or 20 miles off tarmac. 

Confirming the start-point then, 10 am at the big car-park behind the Scottish Woollen Centre, Aberfoyle.  £10 a vehicle to cover the FC Admin & Insurance, 1 SLROC member per vehicle, bring a packed lunch, camera and a tow-rope just in case.

I left hubby in charge of getting the mothers day gift and card... picked it up on the way home...RESULT .. Mum has never had such a fancy Mothers day gift haha! Clearly I made the right choice :-D
