Title: Disco welding
Post by: sthrifty on October 06, 2011, 08:22:38 PM: Found another disco in very good order well inner wings and boot floor are good,however as ever the sills need done.

Can anyone give me an idea what a good welder would charge for the job?

Ps lol how can it be in very good order when sills are rotten,but am sure what you know what I mean

Post by: Pilot Custard on October 07, 2011, 09:52:49 AM: two lengths of 2"x4" box section.... cut to the full length of the sills & capped at both ends.
Slice out the bottom of the sills (full length) and insert
Weld into place.

yeah that not a prob bill its all been painted now and will be uploading pictures to my facebook lcs engineering scotland the full rebuild is on there upto date.
