Title: Freelander Warning Lights
Post by: geoffg on November 11, 2010, 11:00:58 AM
While driving the Freelander,(Yplate TD4), this morning, 3 amber lights on the instrument panel left hand side came on. They were Traction Control, ABS and Hill Descent Warning. I stopped, switched off, then restarted and they all went off. A bit later on, they all illuminated again. Has anyone any ideas??

happens occasionaly on my 55plate. probably dirty sensors. only thing i check if the lights come on is i dont have hot/binding brakes. when i offroaded the freebie traction control/hdc uses the brakes so obviously they heat up. if they get too hot then these warning lights come on because now the brakes are too hot to work tc/hdc. if brakes are normal temp then i dont worry, lights usualy go out after a short time

Cheers for that, Dougie. I've done a bit of research, and it seems that one culprit could be the brake light switch. Anyway, as it's only ?7-20 from Britcar, I've ordered one.
