What type or age of Land Rover?

IMO,
If its an older style,
stick with Original Land Rover Colours/shades.

If its newer or modified or a bitsa,
choose a colour that you like,
& then find the shade that suits it best.
Make sure to change every trace of the original colour.

Please explain what you are asking.
Maybe post a picture.
(is it the blue one at the side?)

Do you want to know how much it may be for a proffesional to prepare it & respray,
or just for you to buy paint & brush or roller it?

Is it a Ninety, or One Ten,hard top or truck cab or a Series,
what condition is the current paint work in at present?

any colour you fancy unless you are going to sell on then play safe. if your keeping it then just do what you want

Im using Tekaloid Enamel paint and was quoted the following

T729 Etch Primer 1 ltr - ?8.50
T837 Primer 1 ltr - ?9.25
T318 Top Coat 1 ltr - ?10.40
Delivery - ?6.99

Tekaloid is a truck/bus paint that can be applied by brush, roller or sprayed and comes in hundreds of colours.

IMO there are far to many series, 90/110 colour clones out there, im going to brighten things up with mine.

Drew.
She said at my age I need something else to play with

hi ,

yeah its the one in the picture , old blue colour , also going to get it professionally sprayed
condition wise usual 90 ( only really way to describe it lol )
going to keep it for road only well probably keep doing the tyro's thats about it
wanting to keep it shinny fresh looking with a few extras , (plan to put in a galvanised bulkhead , got galvanised capping , just needing to fit the stuff)

another wee questions its on a galvanised chassis and going to paint it , would the best thing to do is paint it original colour black or go for a colour so its different ..??

as for selling in on , right now no my plan is to keep it a really look after it but you never know whats round the corner..

thanks for all advise so far ,,, keep it coming

if you are going to paint the galve chassis you need special primers and it used to be the case that  you couldn't paint it for a period after galving as well  maybe 6 months? worth a bit research ,
as for colours there used to be a very nice blue metallic that was limited edition around the start of the 300tdis  possibly bairitz blue?

I had a black two door disco a couple of years ago, got a roll of white vinyl from a vehicle graphics company and turned it into a cow, looked fantastic, only got rid of it because of the rust in the chassis, made everybody laugh, eventually even the wife who christened it Ermentrude, well worth the ?100 for the roll! BT yellow is nice, when it was free, my rrc pickup will be safety Orange shortly due to that being free, cheaps good, free's better!

GeoffG took my 1st choice, so I'll say - Fuji White - whiter than a white thing!
Doesn't show off-road scratches (or rather it hides them), everybody can see you, cool when the sunshines, shows the mud really well once you've been offroad and it's the latest shade of white from Land Rover. Your galvy chassis won't need painting, but if you have to paint it then it has to be matt black, looks good against the shiny white of the body!
