HA HA!
« on: November 30, 2010, 05:58:12 PM »
Been out and about driving most of the day, and we`re in the countryside so when/if we see a gritter we shoot it!
Anyway, had to go along after a bit of shopping and pick the kids up from their friends. The farm they were staying at has two tracks in/out, both uphill.
I drove up the bottom track with a little slip and slide, but no drama. Got to the house, my mate sticks his head out the door and says "go back down the track on the way out, you won`t get up the top track, I couldn`t. The snows bumper high!"
He drives a hilux with big AT`s on it, and I`m in a disco 2, with road tyres. The snow was about 2ft deep, but i kept it steady and carved a path.
You should have seen the big cheesy grin on my face when i got to the top of the track!!
 ;D :D ;D :D ;D
This may sound like me trying to big myself up or something, but I had to tell someone, and you guys are the best people to tell!!

Nice one ;D

Driver skill has a lot to do with it, and knowing how to handle the vehicle you are driving.

Definitely! It has been good fun, and good learning weather, not great for everyone, granted, but good for fun in a landy in the country.

I've got a disco 2 too. I think the traction control does most of the hard work.
I've got road tyres too, it's not got stuck yet

Sunday afternoon there was a wee jap-jeep in the hedge on the M80 Prudential sliproad at Stirling . Lord knows how they managed that, the road was fine !
If its not broken you are not trying hard enough....
