My dad is looking to join the club and start doing rtv s. I know membership gets renewed in October and he is looking to come and join this rtv . He's a pensioner and is asking if he would have to pay the joining in September then in October again. I probably haven't worded this very well but you know what I mean.

Thanks Bill

Hello,

The membership form in the Official Forms Section of the website confirms that if you join after the 1st July in one year, that first years membership runs through to the October in the following year, so if he joins now, he would be covered till October 2014.

(I used this clause when I joined the other year)

I don't know if this link will work or if you can copy and paste it :-

Hope that helps,

Kidlaw (http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=350960&Y=664395&A=Y&Z=120) is tucked up against the northern edge of the Lammermuir hills
From the A68
Take the A68 to Fala (about a mile before the big hill at Sutra) and take the B6457 then the B6368 to Humbie.
Continue to follow that road for another 2+ miles and then turn right, signposted Kidlaw
From Haddington
Come out the south-east end of Haddington, and take the B6368 to Humbie.
Continue to follow that road for about 8 miles, then turn left, signposted Kidlaw

There will be orange arrows from the B6368

The membership form say "(Please note that the membership year runs to 31st October. If you join after 1st July, you will be covered until October the next year.) " - so he's fine :)

There are (sometimes) cattle in the bottom half of the field (and I've never seen them come up to where we drive)

.... but I honestly don't know - I've never had reason to ask the farmer!

I'll make alternative arrangements for him, so he doesn't attract the cows up to the RTV sections.

Luke.... there are also sheep in the field - so the alternative arrangement is a good move.

10 sections laid out, Ian, Alex, Peter, Dean, and John all pitching in....... all the tricky ones are going to blamed on Peter and/or Dean as they'll not be there ;-)
