Not starting great

Hi all this morning and after work today my landy was not over the moon about starting but did start I got battery checked on way home and guy said the battery seemed fine he said I might be losing power in the battery because it's been so cold he said I might be best to fit new battery could i not insulate the battery to combat the cold it's just a bit weird him saying battery seemed fine but saying it might be best to change battery thanks brian

I think I would get a second opinion on the battery although if he checked the battery in the correct manner he would have isolated any high resistive connections e.g. leads. Might be worth cleaning up the connectors and putting them back on with a wee touch of vaseline

I had same problem last year all I had to do was clean the connections on the battery
1995 300 tdi csw 110
series 3 109 2.25p
ex mil 1986 90 s/t 2.5na
88on galv chassis needs rebuild and more

Hi just back from halfords and they done test as well they gave me a print out of the test every thing ok with the battery I'll get every thing cleaned up and hopefully that will sort it thanks brian

Buy a fire blanket make a nice wee cosy bed inside yer seatbox for yer battery to sleep aww winter. Smiley transit vans were the burdon of my life due to freezing batterys. My 110 battery is wrapped in a fire blanket then a plastic rubbish bag. Start fine even in the coldest weather.

My old yellow 'blue oval' had to be put to bed under a duvet when it was cold-didnt do cold!!

As for the Landy-What about the glo plugs??
