Hopefully a link to this story:

What a pointless waste of a stunning Landy.

Hiya Jon,

I'd put a good steering lock on, and get an alarm fitted. You can get a Scorpion Cat 1 alarm / immobilser fitted for ?300. There's an official Scorpion fitter in Dundee.

I reckon it was targeted by some local t*ats who saw it being worked on, maybe saw him driving it that day, and thought that'd be great to f**k about with.

Steering lock or a clutch claw is probably a good deterrent.

When mine is up and running there will be lots of kill switches 8)

Yeah, the owner must be gutted.  Hope the find the scroats responsible..

(and I wouldn't be happy having my LR described in the Courier as a 'jeep'!!)

Rant On [These are the same sort of people who trash the countryside "camping". They have no respect for anything and know that even if caught they'll get some nonsense "community service" type sentence. Total scum, these activities are an indicator of their attitude to everything else in life. What they need is to actually fear the consequences of their actions. The reality is that even if caught they'll walk out of court smirking.   >:(   ]Rant Off.

It's a shame that one of then didn't fall out as they rolled it down the slope. Squish.

Jon, ive got kill switches on the Goddess. Need to leave an instruction manual for them if shes left at a garage!!! :D ( which aint gonna happen for a while now!! :( :( )

Some may recall a similar fate to my 1982 110 V8 .......... too tall for my garage. With the gift of hindsight I'd fit one of those big discs over the steering wheel and a hidden ignition switch plus a few other ideas. But I fear you can't take too many precautions!
Oh and whilst the insurance paid up ok it's tricky to get quotes with just that one blemish on your record.

My sympathies to those in Dundee. I can't bring myself to read the article.
