Has anybody got a heater blower for a defender cheap, they seem to be going for silly money on eBay,,

I've got a Smith's heater blower motor, in working order without an attached fan. It's the one with three mounting lugs that fits the IIA flat heater, but I think it's a standard part that's been used for millennia and looks pretty similar to the one pictured in the Defender workshop manual. You would have to change the hamster wheel over, other than that it should fit. I'm going to Glenmavis tomorrow and can bring it if that would be helpful. Give me a ring tonight for next day delivery!!

The Smith's heater motor I've got is 2.5 inches deep, 3 inches diameter, spindle 6 mm diameter, mounting flange 1 inch from closed end with 3 mounting lugs with rubber inserts. Yours for a fiver !! And it works, tested this afternoon. Can bring it to committee Mtg on Wednesday, or Mudmaster. Cheers, Ron Murdoch. .
