Hi, im selling my 1996 Discovery 300 Tdi 3 door as spares or repair,

It failed the mot yesterday on the following,

1 x track rod end
1 x front brake pipe
Passenger side outer sill corroded
Passenger side chassis leg corroded
Sidelight bulbs being wrong colour?

It also got a few advisories but nothing too serious.

The mot runs out at the end of the month as does the tax too.

Good bits,

118k miles with a folder of reciepts
2" lift
Steering gaurd and Diff gaurd.
Rear interior stripped out.
TD5 Headlights with uprated bulbs.
Spotlight bar plus spots.
Safari Snorkel with K&N panel filter.
Roof bar and lights.
Side exit exhaust.
Decat and middle box removed.
Clear front and side repeaters.
Rear light Guards.
Chequer plating to lower half of vehicle.
Electric Fan.
No Sunroofs.
No Abs.
Insa Sahara tyres on steel wheels.
Lower bumper valance removed.
2 sets of keys with fobs.

It has been used for off roading/green laning so has the usual marks associated with these.

The reason for sale is i dont have the time to repair or the space to break it

That's not good news mate. The list didn't seem that bad. Can't you get it repaired? I'll help if I can.

Its just the welding part that i cant do because it runs superb and and i have had great fun with it!

Pm martin. Thebalf1. He might be able to help. I can help get it ready with you. I have various grinders and have a welder but it's a arc and not brilliant for this work.

I have spoken with Martin a few times plus bought bits from him etc. Im just not sure what the cost will be and like i said in the advert i dont have alot of time to spend on it at the moment.

dont know if it helps any, but ill be getting a new mig for doing my disco in march, ill happily come up and have a go at yours then for a cuppa ;) if you can store it till then, it seems a shame to let one go for a bit of welding. good luck either way!

just had a word with swmbo and we might b getting the mig in the first week of feb so could come up say second week of feb sometime if that helps? ;D

I have various grinders and I have a auto dimming mask as well. I'm sure between us it will be done quickly.

Hi Folks, mant thanks for all your offers of help and after a sleepless night about whether to sell or keep, i have decided to keep her as after all its all part of owning a Landrover.

So now i need to make a move on getting her repaired....

Good choice mate I have a full set of brand new inner and outer sills for a three door disco if your interested?100.
