2.5TD 19J to disco 300tdi

Hi all,

I have started the conversion on my 1989 2.5TD Land rover 90.  So far i have removed the 19J, swapped 19j flywheel housing on to 300tdi and cut off driver side engine mount.

I have left the disco mounts attached to the 300 block and intend on making angles up and welding them to the chassis. I have heard i can reuse the 19J passanger side mount, however this will foul the exhaust so i have decided if i am welding one mount i may as well weld the other.
Doing this will allow a clear run for the exhaust.

The 300tdi is now bolted to the gearbox using 19j flywheel housing and is resting on a jack and engine crane.

Does anyone know if the engine should be centered(bothchassis mounts the same dimensions) or are both chassis mounts different?

I also notice the passenger side chassis mount hits the bulkhead supporting bolt, i have removed this and will refit once chassis mount is welded on.

Just need some clarification as i am starting to doubt myself.

Best regards,

Alasdair
