I have the exact same response from my OH, at least you manage the GRR's and as to camping not a hope in hell of finding my missus in a tent unless she is visiting someone.

No joking ! Our place was used as the "Base Camp" for the Lowe-Alpine Mountain marathon a few years back. They planned to pitch big marquees for the canteen and admin, asked me to lay on drinking water etc for 1000 folk camping. I had to ring them with 4 days to go to say the site chosen was under 2 ft of water, the river had burst its banks...

....we made it work in the end by finding a site the other side of the farm that was large enough for the marquees and "Start" with the runners tents pitched in 2s & 3s on every bit of flat ground for 1/2 a mile around..... Tight but it worked.  

hmmm maybe a roof tent would be handy then? and a snorkel for the motor

As for the weather-as long as the collies dont mind me sharing their bed-im kipping in the blue oval.....DRY!!!!!! Dont do tents in the rain
