As above, do you use them? What are your opinions?

we have them on half the fleet at scottish gas they are brilliant on snow , ok on ice but they must be taken off when you reach tarmack
don't know what they cost but our front wheel drive vans were going places i would never have dreamt, the ones we have are tyre size specific and are held on with elastic they fit over like a landrover vinyl wheel cover.

They start at about ?40, and they do look pretty good where I saw them. As you say, tarmac is a killer for `em

They are sold in pairs and fitted to the driven wheels. They assist with tracksion for two wheel drive vehicles.  Not heard of anyone fitting them to a 4x4.  I would have thought a decent set of tyres on a landrover would be sufficient.  I bought a set for a van derived motorhome and they were ?65 for that tyre size.

supervisor at my work had 4 fitted to his rear drive lexus, and drove to work no bother even in the worst of it from west lothian. ave also seen a seat leon with a set on driveing up the shieldhill brae in the snow ok,  was only none 4x4 to make it.
