Sorry didnt get into the landrover scene till a year past. And some silent assasin yes you know who you are has already decorated my dingy with rubber rings etc!!!

just got one on ebay, but can pay by card. Item 130414973162  Land Rover Defender 300 TDi TD5 or Puma Snorkel Kit.  ?59 and free dellivery.

I'd get one if I thought I could install it myself and if I was sure it fitted civilian LRs (my ex-MOD 90 had different air intakes on top of wings instead of on the side).

You also need a wading kit if you want to do things properly.

The snorkel from lrseries.com  is only the external part, the top mushroom filter to the wing & with a gasket that seal between it & the wing.

It doesnt have the fitting kit inside the wing to the airfilter,
you would have to purchase the correct fitting or make up your own.

George are you sure? From the photos the lrseries and the ebay one appear to contain the same parts.

Yes,
 fitted 2, one on passenger side of my 110 which Geoff G has, (200tdi side) it was on as an ornament as it wasnt fitted to the airfilter.
Fitted one one the drivers side of a 300tdi for a mate.
I had enogh bits around to make piping to the airfilter & seal everything up, or the kit was to be ?35.

On the second one i fitted the brackets to the pillar the correct way around, my mistake was obvious from the first one i had done.

The snorkel(ornament) that was on the 110 is now in my garage if anyone is looking for one for a 200TDi Defender. Top mushroom is missing, but they don't cost much from Rebel 4x4.
