Title: Can the TD5 thermostat housing be split ?

I tested my thermostat for my td5 and it failed to open under hot water, can the td5 housing be split to replace the thermostat or is it new housing and thermostat. The housing is white plastic and has three openings. Just that i have been looking at the price for them and some suppliers just sell the thermostat.
