Tyre advice ??
« on: November 18, 2013, 06:07:04 PM »
:) Hi I am looking to purchase 4 possibly 5 General Grabber AT 255/55/r18 tyres , the cheapest I've been quoted is Auchinlea tyres at Newhouse :: £139 inc vat per tyre fitted and balanced .  They are being fitted to a P38 ...  Can anybody recommend somewhere for cheaper or is there a comparable alternative ??

Much appreciated for any advice ..       Cheers Duncan

That looks a good price, even Paddocks are something like £120 plus VAT and fitting.

There is one other worth a try, Strathearn Tyres in Auchterader, he can do good prices and isn't too far away

Paddocks are £576 for 4 GG's delivered but I can also get Maxxis AT's supplied & fitted for £ 480 so far .  I think I'll keep looking and give them a try at Strathearn..                      Thanks   Duncan

Duncan,
I just invested in a set of Cooper STT's from a guy in Wales. £99 a corner and £40 freight. Cost me another £40 for fitting and balancing at the local garage. These were 265/75/16 so a smaller size might be cheaper.
If you are interested PM me and I will give you their phone number. Great service and were delivered within the week.
I also have a set of GG's but one has a nick in the side wall so I am on the lookout for a replacement and have seen quite a few on a well known auction site, full sets at reasonable costs, worth a look.

Try Forsyths of Denny. They beat the cheapest internet price for my GG AT's. 01324 822141.
