VCU check - i came across this somewhere.
(might even have been here)A basic check for VCU, jack up one wheel, put an 18" bar through rear prop UJ near diff, you should be able to turn prop slowly, even good VCU's are pretty stiff, if you cant turn it its locked up and needs reconditioned.
