Folks,

Having just got the license bit sorted out was looking for equipment, preferably for the 2M and 70cm bands. If any of you have kit gathering dust and want to sell it let me know I might be able to exchange it for some cash.

If you are going to buy a set a good dual band unit, antenna mount and antenna with a spring will see you right for most things you are likely to want initially.

I wont suggest a set yet, have a look and see whats about, think about where you will fit it, security etc. Then come back here and ask some questions if you want.

The shop in Glenrothes is very good even worth giving them a call and asking advice. I bought cb items there and they could not have been more helpful for just one small sale.

That would be Jay Cee, had a look at their web site but could not find prices. Will have another look. The tutor on the course reccomended them but Glenrothes is a a fair haul from my westerly base.

Was looking at putting the kit in the rear of the 110 with the detachable front plate cabled away and mounted at the base of the dashboard.
Putting the kit in the back I can get an easy route for the cables for the antenna and there is a 30 amp supply sitting there direct feed from the battery, thats the theory
