Title: Members Only Section
Post by: coolcamper55 on September 28, 2010, 07:05:38 PM
Can someone tell me how many members have activated their access to the members only area or on the other hand how many have not

Unless you have dropped admin an email with your membership number you may not be able to take part in this area's important topics /discussion.

Please ensure you are able to access this area and participate for the good of all members

Thanks,

Tommy

Tommy,

I believe that the numbers are 803 SLROC members and non-member guests signed up with user-names for the Forum of whom 82 are signed up with access to the club Members Only section.

Thanks for that Gene and of the 803, what is the split SLROC members to Non members (i.e. forum only members). Even if its 50/50, 82 seems a very poor ratio of interested members.

Understand that about 1200 people are registered on the forum. But check with Alan.

If people use the forum for a single purpose, e.g. checking forthcoming events, then they may just 'look in' as guests. This would account for the low number who are registered for specific Club only posts. But, if you are suggesting that more Members should take the trouble to become involved in Club business then I would agree.

Sandy.

Hi Everyone

Just to let you know that today I had my access and first view in the members only section (shock horror) What can I say. Only signed in because a screen flashed up saying I would need access really wish I had before now. Could I ask any members not already signed into this area to take the little steps required and share with the already signed in members in important matters.

as John said it is very important that a balanced view is seen in important matters and this can only be achieved if we have a more broad church considering the topics.

i think some members are just happy with thier grr's, not much interested in tyro let alone comp safari etc so dont think they need to be involved with how the club is run. that may be part of the problem. the club desperately needs input from the 'grass roots' members. those of us with standard, shinny motors, who dont neccesarily want to compete in the competitions or those who do 'compete' purely for fun and dont worry about scores.

if you are a club member PLEASE sign up and get involved. it doesnt take long to read the posts and ALL opinions are wanted. the only way YOUR club can work is with YOUR input. lets get talking folks. post a pm to admin with your real name and membership number and get involved

Doug
Isn't it part of the problem that some members don't believe their opinions are really wanted. There is no doubt they are needed if they are relevant, don't stray off topic or become personal
